A link to Google Maps can be added to your property’s Info cards to make it easy for guests to find directions to a nearby place from your property.
Go to Directory > Info cards to create a new Info card or edit an existing one.
This article explains how to add a link to Google Maps in an Info card, to give guests directions to a nearby place from your property.
Add a Google map to an Info card
Including a link to a Google map on an Info card is a great way to help make it easy for the guest to find their way from your property to a nearby place (such as a pharmacy or supermarket) that you have included information about on an Info card.
Follow these steps to use Google maps to find directions to a nearby place from your property, and add the link to the map in your Info card (this example shows how to add directions to the nearest pharmacy from the Carlton Hotel):
Go to Google Maps, and search for the nearby place you are directing guests to from your property (for this example, we are directing guests to the pharmacy).
Click Directions, and select your property as the starting point. Be sure to select the appropriate mode of transport (for example, walking).
Once you are happy with the placement and zoom level of the map, copy the URL.
When in the Edit info card page, in the Description, enter the text that you want to appear as a link (for example, enter text ‘Click here for directions’).
Highlight the text, then click the link button in the toolbar.
Paste the URL into the Link URL.
Click the tick (save) button once you're done.
