This article explains how to set up additional languages for your property.

Additional languages

Enabling additional languages will let you add custom translations, where applicable.

To set up your property’s additional languages, go to Settings > General > Language and region > Additional languages > select the additional languages you want to add custom translations for.

Default language

To set up your property’s default language, go to Settings > General > Language and region > Default language > select your default language from the available options.

The Default language will apply when a guest’s local language is not available (the guest’s language may be indicated if a channel or PMS transmits this data).

View a guest’s language

To view the language associated with a guest’s reservation, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Guests > Guest list.

  2. Search for a reservation using the relevant filters.

  3. The Language column will show the guest’s language (if the data was provided with the reservation).

  4. If you want, click Export to download the data in a file (useful when viewing a large number of reservations).

💡 The Language associated with your reservations can help you decide which Additional languages to set up for your property, helping to improve your guests’ experience.

Introduction to custom translations

You can add custom translations for the following:

  • Emails — subject line and body text.

  • ConciergeOffers (offer name and description), room upgrades, additional services, and directions.

  • Check-in form — question text and survey greeting and completion messages.

  • Info cards — all info cards such as those for general property information, directions, and additional services.

  • Feedback — survey questions and survey greeting and completion text.

💡 You will need to provide the custom translations. If an additional language is enabled, but a custom translation has not been provided, the content will display in the Default language.
