Enable the chat feature on the Concierge page

What is it?

If your property uses one of the various chat messengers (Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.), you can also opt to enable it on the Concierge page:

For these instructions, we're going to use Facebook as the example. When your guest clicks on the Chat button, they will be taken to the respective messenger application:

How to enable it

The first thing to do is check your Facebook page link:

  1. Click Settings
  2. Check that your Facebook page link is correct. If it is not, please update the link and click Save at the bottom of the page.

Next, you need to check the Chat URL, and turn the chat function on:

  1. Click Concierge
  2. Click Concierge settings
  3. Check the Chat URL. It might have updated automatically, as seen in this image. If it hasn't, you can easily update it yourself by entering the URL in the format of:
    https://www.messenger.com/t/[Your hotel's Facebook name here] 
    It should be the same name as the Facebook page link in the previous step.
  4. Tick the Chat checkbox to turn on the chat button in your Concierge, then click the Save button at the bottom of the page. You should then open the Concierge page and check to make sure everything is working as expected.
